College Excelsior

College Excelsior has carried its motto — Toujours Plus Haut — since 1996. But its sport program had never been given the visual language to match that ambition. NIVO was brought in to transform a beloved but informal athletic tradition into a fully branded, sponsor-ready institution — one capable of commanding attention on the pitch, in the feed, and in the boardroom.

The sport house at College Excelsior had everything a great program is built on: competitive spirit, student pride, and a school with deep institutional roots. What it lacked was visibility. Without a coherent brand system, the program couldn't attract the sponsorships it needed, couldn't project the professional image that pulls in diaspora donors, and couldn't hold its own against the social media presence of rival programs. The stakes were larger than a rebrand. For a Haitian educational institution in an environment where external funding can determine the scope of what's possible, brand equity is a resource. The brief called for a complete elevation: from extracurricular to institutional pillar.

Our diagnosis was simple: this was not a logo problem. It was a positioning problem. The sport house needed to function as a distinct, sponsor-facing entity within the school's ecosystem — something that could stand alone as a brand while remaining unmistakably Excelsior. We anchored the identity in what already existed: the school's heraldic crest, its green and gold color history, its Latin motto. Then we asked how to elevate all of it into a system built for the demands of modern athletics — media content, matchday graphics, merchandise drops, kit design, and long-term revenue strategy.

Visual Identity System
Complete crest and wordmark system for College Excelsior Sport Team (Excelsior FC), built to function across digital, print, and on-kit applications.

Kit Design
A new football uniform for the 2026 season — green and white vertical stripes, crest placement, integrated player name and number system, and the program motto "Trained for Battle. Built for Excellence" running through the fabric. The kit was designed sponsor-ready, with placement architecture built into the layout.

Branded Media Suite
A full library of recurring social media content formats: matchday starting-lineup graphics, post-match score cards, next-match announcement templates, tournament coverage assets, and a recruitment post series.

Merchandise Line
A complete merchandise system spanning: fitted caps, duffle bags, water bottles, phone cases, lanyards, event banners, and branded tablecloths — designed for student and alumni sales, diaspora drops, and gala event presentation.

Revenue Generation Framework
A structured strategy mapping the program's three core revenue streams — sponsorship fees (40%), branded merchandise (35%), and tournament entry fees (25%) — alongside a long-term digital growth model built around YouTube monetization and an annual gala format.

The rebrand gave College Excelsior's sport program what no amount of talent on the pitch could provide on its own: institutional credibility and commercial readiness. The sport house moved from informal team to visible pillar of the school's identity — a brand that can walk into a sponsor conversation, hold a diaspora donor's attention, and attract the kind of students who want to be part of something larger than a league table. The visual system was built to compound. The branded media infrastructure means every matchday produces content. The merchandise architecture means every tournament is a revenue event. And the long-term digital roadmap means the ceiling on this program is no longer set by what the school can fund internally.
